Honestly I'm not mad at it and I'm impressed Ned (my started) was still alive.
Context. I went to visit a friend for a couple weeks and forgot to feed my starter before leaving. I broke my foot the weekend I came home and again forgot to feed my starter.
The starter is a little over 1.5 years old and I made it myself. I keep it in the fridge and only feed once a week.
Recipe for loaf is from "new world sourdough" by Bryan Ford.
600g bread flour
100g whole wheat
300g AP
730g water (warm)
200g Levain
20g salt
I've changed the baking times from the book. This better suits my oven
Preheat oven and dutch oven 500°
Bake 22min @ 475°
Remove loaf from dutch oven
Place directly on rack
Bake additional 12mins
Cool and enjoy!
