It's way to hot (100⁰F) here in West Metro Atlanta, GA to cook inside the house!

Beef stew: 2 lb chuck cut in cubes, lightly floured, fried in oil in the Dutch oven. Deglase with a quart of beef broth, cook 2 hours @ 275⁰ with onions and garlic with the lid on.

Add potatoes, carrots, celery chopped cook for the last two hours at 275 with lid on.

Indirect with plates in the middle position.

Take stew off and take inside and put on low to stay warm.

Open the vents and let the grill get to 420-430. Keep indirect plates in the middle. Heat skillet and butter in grill til butter turns just brown.

1 1/2c corn meal, 1/4c oil, 2 eggs, 1c milk. Beat together in a bowl and pour in hot skillet. Bake in the KJ for 25 min til knife comes out clean.

Nice rich stew with corn bread without the kitchen getting heated up.

Bake bread with no smoke wood, so the cornbread tastes like normal.
