Picked up this bad boy for my dad a couple weeks ago, but it’s pretty dirty inside. Is there an easy or recommended way to get the gunk out? It seems to be coating everything inside.

Burn it wide open for a couple hours and all the gunk will vaporize.

Fill it up, light it up and let it rip for a few hours. Any mosture in the ceramic will be pushed out through the ceramic. Let it cool. Clean the inside and then wipe the outside.

As the others have said, fill it up, light it, and run the vents wide open. After it cools, you can brush out the interior and wipe down the exterior. I’d probably have a new gasket kit ready to go on after a long clean burn. Temps that high will generally cook old gaskets.
