Just tried the 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐜 & 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐩 ($𝟒.𝟗𝟗) 🧄🧀 and I was shocked to find that I didn’t love it for 2 reasons 😕 1️⃣ It was so incredibly salty 🧂 so much so that I had to double check the sodium which is 150 mg for 2 tablespoons which isn’t terrible considering that’s the same amount for potato chips. 2️⃣ There was no ooey gooey cheese pull which I was expecting. Instead the cheese curdled and had a texture to it that wasn’t enjoyable. I was expecting a smooth & creamy consistency.

Both of my 2 reasons could be due to how I prepared it. I baked it instead of microwaving it (which might have changed the texture 🤔) and left it in the oven a few more minutes to achieve a golden crust (which might have made it more salty). Or simply I just got a bad batch.

Now for the good part: The asiago cheese & garlic flavors equally shined through. The flavor was absolutely delicious despite how salty it was.

I added pasta 🍝 and mixed it with the rest of the cheese dip which dialed down the saltiness and also disguised the curdled texture and turned out. Next time I’ll try microwaving it in hopes that it turns out better.

Recommend: Yes (I might have got a bad batch)
Repurchase: No (I’ll be trying the new roasted hatch chile & jalapeño dip instead)

  2. You didn’t get a bad batch, mine was salty too and curdled too! I baked mine in the oven for the exact time. I took one bit and liked the garlic and Asiago flavor but not the saltiness and texture.

  3. Hmmm 🤔 mine wasn’t overly salty at all & it was gooey. I noticed yours looked dry. Maybe something happened during production? I have a backup supply in the freezer for the holidays. I hope the rest are as good as the first two I purchased. Disappointing that you had a bad experience. Have a great Saturday! 💜❣️
