
Recipe: i made this with stuff i had in the fridge
4-5lbs bone in short ribs
1/2 Fuji apple
2 old ass kiwis I needed to use
1/2 onion
15 cloves of garlic
1-2” knob of ginger
1/3 cup light soy sauce (I ended up adding more, prob more like 1/2 cup overall)
1/3 cup mirin
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup passion fruit juice (it’s what I had on hand)
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp gochugaru
3 carrots
4 gold potatoes (can use radish if you have on hand)
4 very limp green onions
Soak beef in cold water 30 mins, boil in water for 5 mins, drain. Clean pot.
While beef is soaking blend everything on the list except the carrots and potatoes, peel and cube them into large pieces.
Place your meat back in your clean pot and add blended marinade over everything, add water until everything is covered.
Cook on medium heat for 1.5 hours before adding carrots/potatoes. Cook until tender.
*I added my veg in too soon so I took them out and added my green onion later while I was cooking the sauce down
