    This was a frustrating one to be honest. I’ve seen a bunch of other posts and comments about the recipe and then while making them myself I didn’t think of any of the tips I read.

    The dough is soooo sticky and I wish I used parchment paper instead of cocoa like someone suggested. I’ve had to make it twice cause I also overbaked the first batch.

    And the filling, my god the filling. I’ve made brown butter a bunch of times and yet I was following the recipe blindly so I burnt it and had to remake that as well.

    The mold I used to make these is based on a Croatian cookie called Domaćica and also made this more difficult than it had to be because I couldn’t get nicer imprints and had to cut around them with a knife.

    The recipe is definitely worth trying out, but be prepared and check out all the other tips redditors have mentioned.

    How was the brown butter frosting? Crisco+powdered sugar is a dead ringer for oreo creme, but I wonder if the browned butter elevates it at all.
