Fettuccine Alfredo but someone fact check this #ninedays#jewtok#kosherfood#cooking#pasta#fettucinealfredo
this meal is definitely not healthy and I will regret eating it at least 10 minutes afterwards but this is how I make the fet Alfredo that we ate tonight for dinner I just made this based off of my knowledge of how fety Chini Alfredo should be made anyways I saw somewhere on Tik Tok if you boil your noodles and then put them in the fridge and then eat them 24 hours later that’s something about the carbs and it turning into less calories and I definitely think that this is not true okay I’m not saying I believe it I’m just saying that you know maybe I should try it so that’s that’s what I did I made them yesterday so when I cook I don’t really measure always so this is just me putting in the spices and you know what it always turns out okay either good or okay so I whisked all those ingredients together to make it smooth and then I taste tested it with one of these noodles that did not look so fresh because you know they were made yesterday and then when it came down to actually mixing in the pasta was actually quite difficult I really had to mix that pasta in there

rice and potatoes — putting them in the refrigerator after cooking causes the starch to convert to resistant starch …
If you wanna save cooked pasta make sure you oil or butter it and keep it sealed tight. Both of these prevent moisture loss and clumping of the noodles.
Not less calories but its supposed to be more stable carb for blood sugar. Is what i heard anyway
When making things such as rice or pasta and allowing it to cool then placing it in the fridge, you will promote the growth of gut healthy bacteria’s which helps with using the toilet
It’s not less calories that putting the noddles in the fridge causes, it lowers their glycemic index because the starches convert to resistant starch which will spike your blood sugar less
Chilling your carbs turns them from a simple carb to a complex carb, (something about the fiber structure changing). Complex carbs are better for you because it is easier on you digestive system and less of an insulin spike as well.
No, the pasta does not have less colors after it's in the fridge. It turns into resistant starch, which helps your: fight off cancer.
That is true with potatoes. Cook and leave in fridge overnight. Turns the starch to something beneificial for the gut.
Alfredo is Parmesan cheese and butter not a white sauce with cheese melted into it.
Not everything has a significant amount of resistant starch that benefits from cooling.
No it is true, it changes the sugar in the pasta so it doesn't impact your insulin in the same way or as hard.
Appearantly putting bread in the freezer/fridge and reheating (toasting) helps with the sugar load. So your glucose won't spike as hard
Classic alfredo is made with only butter, Parmigiano reggiano and fettuccine noodles, black pepper to taste, it's so easy to make, it's what my grandma would make us as kids, my grandfather was Sicilian so he added a pinch of fresh nutmeg.
is this kosher for pesach?
1) you need to throw away that rubber spatula. Thats not good for anyone you cook for.
2) I am genuinely concerned with rhe way you view foods, especially since you have kids.
3) All you're doing with day old food is losing nutrients, not carbs.
Girl. You can get sick from old pasta in the fridge. Please double check that info because I saw a story about it where someone got really sick from old pasta
it is true, it also works with potatoes and rice. it just makes your body break it down as fiber not pasta.
“Guilt” is actually not an ingredient, so you shouldn’t have it with your food 😊
The secret to an authentic tasting Alfredo is a dash of nutmeg! I make mine almost exactly like yours and just started the nutmeg trick about a year ago. And I mean a tiny dash and it just brings out that nice nutty flavor u get from restaurant Alfredo
MOAR GARLIC! 😊
Try playing with the measurements of the spices, sometimes adding more of them helps the food taste better.
Hi, I’m Italian here and fettuccine Alfredo although that’s not actually a real Italian dish pasta is a big thing.. I don’t know about leaving it in the fridge overnight and eating it the next day as it reducing the carbs however, there may be something to that because of the way that the startch is and how your body may metabolize it. The fridge will change the composition of because of the temperature change. Serving pasta al dente also affects how the body actually uses those carbs and processes those carbs from the pasta.. It is preferred by many /most Italians to serve pasta cooked al dente. there’s also something with bananas and starch and bananas. How if you eat a super ripe bananas, it will be more starchy more sugary to your body vs a less ripe banana. I don’t think I explained this very well. I’m not good at articulating things that I try to explain, but maybe you can understand what I’m trying to say although it’s not a reduction in carbs the actual composition does change therefore the body will metabolize it and process it differently. Sourdough bread is another one that the body processes, those carbs differently from sourdough as opposed to white bread or rye bread or wheat bread.
Yes I heard that about all starch & carbs I believe it's true….
