Learn how to make delicious homemade shish tawook with this easy recipe. This chicken shish taouk is perfect for a family dinner or a backyard BBQ!

Ingredients for the marinade
Boneless chicken chunks – 500 g
Thick curd- 1/4 cup
Lemon juice – 2 tsp
Olive oil – 2 tbsp
Freshly ground ginger garlic paste – 2tbsp
Tomato paste – 2 tbsp
Black pepper powder – 1tsp
Red chilli powder – 1.5 tsp
Salt – 2 tsp
Cinnamon powder – 1 tsp
Oregano – 1 tsp

Oil for cooking – approx.2 tbsp

Method
•⁠ ⁠Wash and drain the chicken completely.
•⁠ ⁠Add all the ingredients mentioned above to the chicken pieces.
•⁠ ⁠Mix it well and marinate for at least 4 to 5 hours.
•⁠ ⁠Thread the chicken pieces on the skewers.
•⁠ ⁠Also thread onion chunks with the chicken for the flavour.
•⁠ ⁠Put 1 tbsp oil into a grill pan.
•⁠ ⁠Heat the pan on medium high flame.
•⁠ ⁠Put the chicken with the skewers in the pan
•⁠ ⁠Grill the chicken on medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes.
•⁠ ⁠Brush oil as required while cooking.
•⁠ ⁠Once the chicken is done, you can enjoy it right away or relish by making pita sandwiches with garlic dip and veggies of your choice.
