Earlier in the season, I know it was getting too much sun so added a bit of shade cloth. Now the growth seems to be stunted and the leaves are curling a bit. I’m careful about watering, and everything otherwise seems fine. Perhaps is it using too much energy for the one pepper that’s on it? Any other thoughts?

Elsewhere in the garden I’ve got two green bells and one jalapeño and they are thriving.

Pick the pepper. Let the plant grow instead of reproducing. Try some fertilizer. Soil seems a bit mulch/wood chip heavy. Not too much shade either.
