Do you have any veggie options? No worries if not. Best of luck. Nice to see a place offering Cambodian cuisine

Yo it is what it is and it looks delicious! I’ll try to stop by with my girl if we have the time.

    You guys have an instagram?

Just asking because we are usually super busy during the work week and weekends are better for our little lunch/dinner dates.

Oh but good luck to you and your business! I wish you much success!

  3. hanman92

    Thanks for posting; looks delicious!

There are also a couple of Culver FB groups that would be interested: Culver City (unofficial) and Culver City Foodies.

    Good luck with your business!

  15. TheManDirtyDan

Ok but what’s the name of the business?

  16. Can you come out to Pasadena. Or recommend anyone in the area?

Convince me to drive up from Long Beach, the Land of Khmer food that isn’t Cambodia!

Probably will at some point anyway.

  18. My advice (not that you asked, I know) is to work on your P.R copy. From your comments, you are an actual person with a real story to tell about an awesome family that can cook. That’s what people want to hear about and will connect to, by the avenue of foodways.

Your post text reads like generic, corporate hype that could just as well be from Cracker Barrel about their new meatloaf special.

Had a combo plate with short ribs, pork belly and wings a few weeks ago and it was incredible (and enough for me and my husband and kid to split). Everything was incredible, and if you’re vegetarian you’d be happy with the sides. The chefs are so nicest couple and their kid is the cutest. They also choose really great spots to pop up, so it’s a vibe. Highly endorse!

I’m co-owner of Kreung Kitchen and my sister posted this! So thankful for her :0) also so thankful for all the kind comments and follows on our Instagram (@kreung_kitchen). We created our pop-up with the goal to introduce Cambodian food to the Westside. We started Kreung Kitchen 6 months ago with no kitchen industry experience. Sam would cook for us (me, him and our daughter) everyday and I kept encouraging him to sell his food – It’s that good that I wanted to share it with everyone!

Sam hasn’t always had a passion for cooking but back in 2017 we started dating, moved in together and he would wake up in the morning saying he craved Babaw (Cambodian Rice Porridge). We’re in Culver City and to get Cambodian food you gotta drive out to Long Beach and it’s not far but it’s not close either. I suggested he learn how to make Khmer food and that’s when he started to talk to his Mom about her recipes, bought Khmer cooking books and watched YouTube videos on how to create his favorite dishes.

Sam’s Mom passed away late last year and one of the last things she told him was to pursue his vision of cooking and sharing Cambodian food with our local community. That’s something that he has been pursuing ever since.

It hasn’t been easy and it’s a lot of work but Sam is very proud to offer Khmer food wherever we can! It’s one of the southeast Asian cuisines that does not get a lot of shine.

If you decide to come by and visit us please let us know that you found us on Reddit and we will give you $5 off one of our combos which excludes our Combo 1 and our small plate.

Woo I tried your food when you were in Long Beach at Cambodia fest, I still think about that lemongrass beef!

  23. user1222111

Looks so good. Do you guys do catering? How can I keep track of the biz?

  24. JakeBlarwin

Would you say it’s as good as a holiday in Cambodia?

  25. williaminla

Nice! Do you guys ever do those pork broth noodles?

  26. JahMusicMan

Been to B&G twice. My girl does not like beef (pause), but she raved about the lemongrass beef and the corn.

Absolutely love this setup, order a plate out back and go inside and get a nicely priced IPA or two and head out back and enjoy. Both times I’ve been, there was very limited seating, so I carry a couple of camping chairs. Everyone is so friendly and it feels like a family gathering.

I’m not sure if I got lucky twice but they give you a very generous portion of meat. Easily enough for 1.5-2 meals depending on your appetite.

Damn good meal. Plus Hi-Lo is a great venue for a small pop up. Watch out if y’all start to get bigger tho! May need to change up the operations a bit.
