Chocolate Covered Strawberries never get old for Valentine’s Day. Here’s the vegan take on them which guarantees to make your Valentine’s day sweeter without you having to spend too much time in the kitchen.
You’ll need only 2 ingredients to make these strawberries!
250 gram of fresh strawberries
1/2 cup of finely chopped dark chocolate
1. Melt the chocolate in a double broiler or make your own broiler. I used a big pot and poured about 1 cup of water in it and placed a smaller bowl inside it.
2. Put chopped chocolate in the bowl and let it melt on low heat.
3. Once all the chopped chocolate is melted, remove it from the stove.
4. Let the chocolate cool down for a few minutes before starting to dip the strawberries. This will prevent excessive dripping of the chocolate and the chocolate will set faster.
5. I used a toothpick to dip strawberries, you can use a fork.
6. I wanted the chocolate covered strawberries to be perfect so I used a strainer as a holder for the strawberries on toothpicks. You can lay them flat directly on a plate.
7. You can use coconut shavings, cacao powder, sprinkes, white vegan chocolate, nuts etc. to decorate the strawberries.
Eat them fresh, they can be stored in fridge for 2 days.
