Woke up craving aguachile this morning and we didn’t want to leave the south. SO hopped on the ol hand computer and found a few b&m shops w middling reviews that we dismissed til she saw there’s a new mariscos truck on stassney just past Manchaca. Great reviews online and they are freaking good, y’all.
Several aquachile options (add scallops and octopus, green-red-negro sauces) available- we got green w scallop and octopus. Fresh, delicious, and for $22 there’s still half a portion in my fridge for dinner.
The picture is their bruja tostada- shrimp/scallop/octopus in a dark sauce. Loved this too but it was very close to the giant pile of aguachile we also got.
Tried two tacos off the hot menu- grilled fish and fried Baja fish. I loved the grilled, SO enjoyed the fried but there was a fair amount of extra batter.
Next time I’m going back for their pescado zarandeado for $15!
They said they’ve been open 6-7 months now, I had no idea they were there.
