[Music] welcome back to gbd i’m genie b delicious and today we’re going to be making one of my favorite absolute hors d’oeuvres that my aunt used to make it’s a shrimp cocktail basically and what you’re going to need is that what is it called i call it cream cheese i do have a little bit of chinese mustard because i like to have my cocktail sauce have a little bit more kick and the stuff that they make in the grocery store just doesn’t have a lot of heart you know horseradish in it so i’m going to add this and today i found some shrimp you know you need salad shrimp for this yeah i guess you could use bigger shrimp but just cut it smaller and it came with its own cocktail sauce so i already know that the cocktail sauce is not going to be spicy now so we’re just going to add a little bit of that we’re actually going to layer that on a plate you can use a bigger plate or whatever but my aunt joanne she used to make this you gotta room temperature your cheese and basically you’re gonna spread it out on a plate and i’m just using a little one because it’s just me and then you’re gonna just use crackers or chips i have some pork rinds and some nut fins i mean you would think that nut fins are super super good for you i mean the first ingredient is rice flour so it just depends on how your body reacts to that carb but just make it pretty if you need to microwave it a little bit to make it smoother that’s great right so i’ve got this like that got like this and like that like this uh-huh anyway spread it on the plate um i’m going to open up one of these little cocktail sauces if i can holy shmizzle yeah it doesn’t have enough spice and i didn’t buy any more horseradish so i’m just going to add a little bit of chinese mustard because hey we know that’s spicy i mean and it is type of horseradish mustard whatever and i’m just gonna mix that in there [Music] and then spread it all over the cream cheese now my aunt joanne used to sprinkle a little bit of sugar on the top um i don’t want the extra sugar but if you want to you could totally spread that but anyway you can make it pretty this ain’t pretty i know it probably looks like but with the cream cheese and everything it’s tasty i’m gonna use i got some smokehouse and regular ones and i’m just gonna taste it once with the wheat thin once with the pork rind pork rinds are my favorite because there’s no carbs in them definitely adding that little bit of mustard in there absolutely helped i absolutely love that flavor now we’re going to add some shrimp to the top i’ll just use my fingers i just wanted to see what it tastes like let’s try it with the pork rind and the shrimp i mean you can’t go wrong with shrimp cocktail anyway but with the crispiness of the pork rind and who doesn’t love bacon i could eat this all to myself let’s try it with the chip so again get more of the cream cheese with the cocktail sauce i kid you not so idaho obviously it’s not a coastal state but in florida they had shrimp as big as my hand as big as my hand like that big around shrimp why they even have the name shrimp i’ll never know but i’m one of those people that really really really like crawdads so to me crawdads are like little freshwater lobsters and i actually like them better than lobster with the pork rinds it’s so good and who doesn’t like to dance and eat at the same time i really enjoy food hence why i put on weight over the years but i do appreciate you tuning in today thank you so much for watching genie be delicious and of course join me next time for another great recipe you

What a delicious quick snack. TFS Genie . 👍🥰
I will definitely try that! Thank you!
You are honestly looking amazing genie
Oh my gosh!
I've been making this amazingly simple delicious appetizer as my go-to "bring a snack" party dish for years.
It always gets eaten up quickly with rave reviews.
I'm also a pork rind kinda guy with it, too.😂
"Great minds… " 😋
Not to take away from your shrimp which I love. The room temperature cream cheese and deviled ham is a great mix also.
Thanks for the great recipe that looks like just my cup of tea. Thank you also for telling me that pork rinds contain no carbs!!! Wow 😱👏. Thanks my dear. Nice seeing you look so pretty. Cheers, Colin.
When I 1st heard of a craw dad or saw one here in the US I said that's a Yabba.
But cause I don't really eat sea food like that. Something I use to watch on the history channel and this guy go fishing for Yabbas as also called Craw Dad's.
Of course they look like baby Lobsters when I 1st started watching this program and I forgot what it was called her. He was a guy teaching us how to survive.
So if u got stranded and near by certain things will u gonna have to catch them make a fire cook it and eat it.
But I always thought they was called Yabbas which I guess everyone can call them something different like baby Lobsters, or crawfish, craw Dad's and even Yabbas or whatever else.
Looking good, pretty lady!
goes onto my "Dips Dips Dips" list… btw. supercrunch!

You look fantastic!!! Looks like u lost a lot of weight 🙂
This is amazing.
I've always just mixed the cocktail sauce, tiny shrimp(or chopped larger shrimp) and cream cheese all together and serve with chips…love the idea of Chinese mustard in it to make it spicier!!!
Excellent idea! Quick and easy. I absolutely will make this recipe and will use pork rinds! Thank you.❤
