I keep seeing this and idk what it is⦠this looks like a sauce or jam or something. Nothing about it looks crisp. The word crisp says like⦠a chip or something to me. Why is this called crisp!?

I always thought it was a dude

This stuff is fire! I mixed some in with tartar sauce for some fried catfish. The result was excellent.

Love some Lao gan ma on a fried egg, and in stir-fries

This stuff is delicious. We love it on our grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes

Pretty good stuff, but Italian chillies in oil have a lot better flavour
Put on Costco cheese pizza with extra cheese and Popeyes ghost chicken fingers rolled up and then heated in the air fryer.

Someone mentioned the calorie content in these and after a lot of jars, I had no idea. Lucky enough I work with a Malaysian woman whom brings me sambal because I just canβt do this stuff anymore lol

I bought this last week. Iβm half way trough. Need to buy a bigger one.
And I ran out of things I put this on. Recommendations are welcome

I really tried to like this after all the hype but I just can’t get into it. I’ve tried it at least half a dozen times, mostly with noodle dishes or eggs. I want to like it and I enjoy the crunchy bits, but I just can’t get used to the numbing feeling in my mouth. It makes everything taste weird and sour / bitter afterwards.
The heat isn’t a problem, but it’s a different kind of heat to every Western hot sauce I’ve ever had.
I even went out and bought another brand but I didn’t like that either. Is it just me? Any suggestions? I usually use a teaspoon or two, don’t know if that is too much.

Anybody get one with like tofu? Second jar I bought was different from the pasta and seems more squishy than crispy and more peanuts with tofu chunks.

I will have to find and give it a try.

Mix a big spoonful in a skillet with a splash of soysauce and a pat of butter and cook a couple eggs in it. My breakfast of choice lately

lives up to the hype of being disappointing? do the 3 flames mean it’s fire or that it’s 3 alarm hot as fuck?

Thatβs a woman? I honestly never knew

I thought that was a man the whole time

Not hot, nicely warm, it’s the flavor and texture that are to die for. I actually sometimes add a little Underwood sriracha on top to kick up the heat if I want more, but it is truly delightful on its own!
