  1. I havent had theres yet… but I hate seeing precut beef ribs. If I buy ribs of any kind, they are going to be a full rack.

  2. androoz8

My Costco was selling them as a rack but they didn’t really have any meat on them.

  3. Equal_Efficiency_638

These look like they’re better off used for stock than smoking

  4. Trash_Panda_Trading

They’re great, we smoked em a few weeks back.

  5. The5dubyas

I don’t smoke them – I grill them after marinating in hot pimento paste – they’re fantastic

Beef back ribs are great if you get them at a good price. They are the ribs under a prime rib roast. I’ve done them as a whole rack. I also keep the ones I cut off a prime rib and smoke them later for a snack.

Like others have said there isn’t much meat but what is there is tasty. Do them similar to pork ribs, they may go a bit quicker. I would pass at that price.

  7. You can ask the butcher guys to get you a package of short ribs they they haven’t trimmed up yet.

  8. ancelottieyebrow

I’ve had them and its not worth it.

  9. dengar69

Better to smoke the rack which they should also sell. $4.99/lb here in NC.

Everyone’s gonna talk shit, but I get those all the time they take way less time to smoke in the meat is absolutely delicious. I think it’s worth it.

CAN/kg to USD/lb is too much converting for me.

Every now and then I buy a rack of them rather than these individual slices. They’re delicious. I think they’re filling especially because some bites are really fatty and I eat them as a part of a meal instead of eating nothing but meat. Then I use the bones to make a stock. Every now and then I find a slab of them with a solid amount of meat still on on top of it rather than just the in-betweens. Taste-wise, I think I prefer them over short ribs. Just not alot of meat

Costco has great beef backs. I buy and smoke them all the time but only racked. They likely have them vacuum sealed near bye, you just missed them.

  14. WallAny2007

Walmart riblets, about half the price and freakin yummy. Just did them yesterday

  15. OGhurrakayne

My Costco has them on the rack. I smoked them and wasn’t impressed enough to buy them again as they weren’t very meaty.

  16. OddSignificance2874

My grandma buys these pretty often and they’re pretty good the only thing is she buys 4 – 6 packs at a time b/c they’re kinda skinny. Good meat though

  17. AIreadyImpartial

That’s super expensive for what you’re actually getting. I’ve smoked them for a few hours and they turned out good and I’ve marinated and grilled them and that was much better but it’s still mostly bone and some meat. That price would be a hard pass for me

  18. Now you take this home, throw it in a pot, add some broth, a potato. Baby, you’ve got a stew going.

  19. CleverCogitator

Yup, smoked them ate them, would recommend if the price is right.

  20. klucky08

I do cheater ribs with them. Rub em, smoke em for 1.5 to 2 hrs. Then 20 minutes in the instant pot pressure cooker. From there I can put them on the grill with sauce right away, or into the fridge and onto the grill later.

  21. carvajfc

Damn $16 a KG. In my costco warehouse same ribs are $5.59 a Lb so like $11 a kilo

  22. theletterfortyseven

I got a slab of beef back ribs from costco and smoked them last weekend. Only took 6 hours and they were delicious.

  23. Due-Wind-3324

Don’t do it. I’ve done it and once cooked, barely any meat. They’re still delicious, but you’ll be disappointed with the amount of meat you paid for.

  24. If you’re a fan of beef ribs, they are a winner IMO. They aren’t Dino or short ribs, so don’t get confused. But they have a decent amount of meat and can be cooked similar to pork ribs.

I usually get pork and beef ribs along with sausage and serve when we have small get togethers.

  25. Estropelic

Delicious. SPG, hot and fast, vortex style on a kettle is great.

  26. ghettowillshakespear

I’ve gotten them a couple times and my family loves them. I grill them, however, over a charcoal grill. Haven’t smoked them yet

  27. dorangutan

Used these in slow cooker ragu, came out great!

  28. Xx_Kurt_No_Brain_xX

Bet that’s Berta beef right there. Grass fed Berta beef.

  29. corky1983

    Ooooooo

My BIL bought those for new year 2023. I seasoned them and smoked them til almost done then I cooled them and then battered and deep fried them.

Got the idea from a place in Austin that does the big dino ribs that way around Christmas time.
