A bit of nostalgia! Remember “The Stinking Rose” on La Cienega? Loved that place : )
Here’s one of their garlic crab dishes. That sauce was otherworldly!! Memories 🥰

Had the garlic ice cream there with the wife. All we could say about it was, “yup. that’s garlic ice cream” overall the food was great.

As theme restaurants go, it was one of the better ones.

Went twice between like 2015-2018 because my Dad liked it. It felt classy when it came out in the 90s, but when I went it felt like a ghost of LA past. Felt like I was in another city.

I went there for my birthday one year with friends. One of my friends ordered a martini (probably their blood orange one) and told the waitress “Hey this is really good, I’d like another in 40 minutes.” 40 minutes later she came back with a new glass. She repeated this every 40 minutes while we were there. We had to tip very well for that kind of service.

No idea a place like this existed. Wish I knew about it when it was open- I freaking love garlic!
