I am by all means a bagel girlie✨💕 and by bagel girlie I mean I HATE store bought bagels. There’s just something about them, maybe they’re not fresh enough, maybe they’re to soft, maybe it’s the preservatives? I don’t know. But I was at Whole Foods yesterday and I was looking through their fridge section and found these and was automatically intrigued. They felt HUGE inside the bag and I don’t know why I’m a sucker for nice packaging. I was sold on trying it when I found out each HUGE bagel was 170 calories with 25g of protein. Then I saw that it was 12 DOLLARS for just 4 bagels. I put it back, walked away and found myself coming back to it 5 minutes later and impulsively shoving it in my cart.

ANYWAYS sorry for the ramble. THIS BAGEL WAS AWESOME. So flavorful, tasted like the real thing (fresh bakery bagel) and that PROTEIN girlllllll. I just started getting into macros, so let me know what yall think. They have tons of different flavors and products from this brand, I saw a cinnamon bagel, plain bagel and brioche hamburger buns. 💕

WOW that looks amazing!!! Saving this for when I have more money and can afford these without feeling bad, lol

These are awesome. I get them at my target, they carry plain and everything. They are 9.99 by me and I’m ok with 2.50 a bagel. Well worth the satisfaction of a bagel in my opinion!

Has anyone tried their Hawaiian rolls?

Love these, though I haven’t tried the everything flavor yet (just plain and pretzel).

Have you tried the Schmidt Old Tyme 647 Plain Bagels? They’re 160~ calories and full-sized. I put an egg wash on them, add Everything Bagel seasoning or Furikake on them, and bake them for 5 minutes, they’re amazing. Protein is probably much worse, but only $4-5!

how do these digest for you (eyeing the amount of fiber)?

The fiber content in these is insane!!! Too bad they aren’t gluten free.

Not sure how the math works out here unless they are just not counting the calories from fiber. But 38g of carbs is 152 calories. The protein should be another 100. So that is 250 calories before even counting the fat (which should be another 30 or so ).

My sister introduced me to their brioche buns and omg I couldn’t believe it. 9.99 for four at my Whole Foods, so I don’t often by them. I also found I could usually cut each half in half again.

This makes me want to try making a protein bagel at home. I know it’s a bit of work but I’m the kind of person who makes homemade kimchi and pickles and things like that so I wouldn’t be opposed to giving it a shot. Which begs the question… Does anyone have a tried and true protein bagel recipe?

I’ve made protein pancakes, bars, brownies, balls, cakes, etc, but never really thought to make a protein bagel. 😁
