Give that veteran some help, dude. You can make or order a new handle and whatever extras you get, like shelves, will make everything more enjoyable.

Best investment for grilling I’ve made over 15 years ago. I’ve had new parts sent so many times i don’t actually know how many times. It’s neat how this company goes to market very customer centric. I might buy a new smaller one because my kids have moved out and lighting an XL is a bit overkill.

Large and in charge. My parents got me one just about 16-17 years ago and I had no idea what they were. My then girlfriend, and now wife of 11 years had helped them pick something out and it’s probably the only personal possession from that time period that I still own and use on a regular basis. Literally. I’m wracking my brain to think of anything that I haven’t replaced or obsoleted in that time. My woman and my grill. Time tested.

Love it. This past spring I gave my 21 year old egg some love, a ceramic treatment from Ace and a good brush and oil of the vent cap and a handle replacement made of some scrap teak pieces that I cut to size and oiled. Cheap, and a half a day of elbow grease, but I feel like she will give me another 20 years.

That mounting situation is stressing me out lol.

Wow! But please get some new bands and a new Cast Iron Regulator Vent Cap!

I’ve had mine about that long now. Lots of good memories and meals over the years. What is your favorite food to cook in it?
