Turns out we’ve all been making it wrong and I never knew until I found the Naples street food Cuzzetiello, the original meatball sub, and it’s a stroke of genius.

  1. I feel the LAZY vibe. For years, I've payed a lot of attention to the details like the texture of garlic before going into the pan… You know what? I'm okay with a few larger chunks. It's okay!

  2. American guy who probably doesn't speak Italian. Very common. This gentlemen is apart of a machine, he doesn't understand cooking in Italy. He is Americanized. Keep making your paninos with meatballs the way we're been making them for years. This guy is a bacalla.

  3. Candlestick Park in SF used to have a "San Francisco Sourdog" that was very similar, a large sausage of your choice in the butt end of a sourdough baguette. they were simple but amazing

  4. No Eggs!!!!!!!!!!!! This is not meatloaf!, Maybe 1 egg, maybe. But great idea with the bread!

  5. 👌🤌 i've been working my way through your Rome pasta recipes, but there are very few Italian markets on the west coast of Canada in my budget, so instead of eating out i save up for the ingredients. Cacio e pepe did not disappoint, and if I like carbonara from chains i can't wait to make the real deal. I've never been a fan of meatball subs because of the unwieldy nature of them but now i have no excuse. Thanks buddy for the hard work you put into these videos.

  6. Pointing a sandwich down, then complaining the filling fell out. lol Eat your sandwich horizontal like a normal person.

  7. Awesome video. I've used so many of your recipes because you make it very easy to look like a stud in the kitchen and make great food thanks bro

  8. There's a BBQ chain restaurant near San Francisco, CA that cores out Italian bread and stuff it with BBQ meats, cheese, and onions. It's incredible.

  9. Looks delicious. If you make it like a sub you can fit more fillings and not waste the bread. Just wrap it with something. At the same time, don't you bore of tomato, basil, garlic, EVOO, and Parm recipes? A classic for sure but Italian has a lot more to offer. Enjoy the show a lot though

  10. When making homemade meatballs, what is the best substitute for the eggs? Have a child with a severe allergy. I’ve always skipped but the meatballs seem to be missing something. Thanks in advance.
