Went to a stand up galbi bbq place, trying to work out what’s in the dipping sauce aside from the obvious sesame seed (probably also oil) spring onion and it also looked like there was black pepper. Any ideas?

Every place is gonna have their own recipe but likely there’s soy sauce, soup soy sauce (perhaps), ginger, garlic, green onion, sugar, vinegar, splash of wine or spirits, sesame oil.
When making sauces like this, I often like to make a bigger batch and keep it in the fridge because there’s a ton of ways to use this sauce besides as a dipping sauce. Good on everything.
