I’m sorry to tell you, but you got fleeced. I was going to say ‘at least your cool metre went up as you left the artisan, bearded, oak infused, vermont cheddar, modern, burger bar’, but too many restaurants are pulling this garbage these days. Which is alright when they deliver, but $19 for fries and a half a hoagie is nuts.

Edit: tbh it looks delicious, not sure what the carrot sticks are supposed to bring to the table, but I’d still eat it lol

Not only is that not a Cuban Sandwich, but I’m struggling to figure out what type of sandwich this could be.

  3. How TF is that a Cuban ? Are you in Indiana or something?

Dice that pork steak up and toss in an aioli or something and I’d be happy. I’d be pissed if I ordered a Cuban but that does have the makings of something intriguing.

That that was billed as a Cuban- I feel for you. Cubans and bahn mi are sandwiches im asking questions before ordering because expectation vs reality has killed me

Holy fuck. I would throw that thing into the sun. I posted a Cuban the other day, I wish I could feed it to you. This. This is an abomination

Looks delicious, not a Cuban tho. In Mexico we have “tortas cubanas” which are sandwiches with a whole lotta stuff (ham, sausage, beef, egg, etc); maybe that’s what they’re going for.

I know that def isn’t a Cuban but what is that?

That slab of meat looks like ham or something

It’s all the ingredients of a Cuban but somehow not a Cuban.

Price seems steep for what they delivered at first glance.. apart from depending on where in the world you are its easy to forget that part of the price on the menu is to cover expenses indirectly involved in your dining, like rent, kitchen, staff, and not only the products themselves. For $19 I´d expect more than a basket of fries and half a ham slammed in with some bacon, cheese, egg, mayo and green thingies in a bread

This is not a Cuban or a $19 sandwich. Ugh

Why do places do shit like this? A Cuban is a specific collection of ingredients and it doesn’t seem like this thing has any of them right. Just call it something else and it’s probably fine, but $19 is still pretty steep.

Cubans and Ruebens are my 2 most favorite sandwiches… nothing pisses me off more than when a place decides to do their own spin. Like call it cuban inspired if you must but both sandwiches have pretty set guidelines.

The worst is when they put bread and butter pickles on a cuban.
