Looks so good! Β Going to try this later!
Will be my dinner for today , I let you know who is it
Love it! Came out so delicious! Thank you so much. For someone who doesn't know Chinese cooking this was the easiest dish toΒ make. π
INGREDIENTS:
1 pound of cod
2 cubic inches ginger
3 scallions
4 cloves garlic
0.5 tablespoon red pepper flakes
5 tablespoons soy sauce
6 tablespoons of water
1 tablespoon sesame oil
Can I use white onion instead of scallion?
Very simple yet delicious at the same time. Thank You
Thank you for this simple yet very delicious recipe! I had to use ground ginger and white onion instead, regardless, it turned out very nice.Β
Next time I'm planning on adding some brown sugar and honey and see how the sweet version of this dish tastes like
I followed your simple dish and ..yep.. pretty good.. its was simple and you are right.. anyone should be able to cook this and end up with a great dish.. I like your style. I have one friend who says the biggest issue with their marriage is…. no one can cook! If they followed your simple steps, you could ease their marriage woes… well done..(mind you I guess neither of them could handle a knife either.. lol. But ..there is always the 'JAR' !).
Do we add water in the pot???
Thank you for this easy recipe! It was very good! I've added some coriander and vegetable oil to mine and reduced the chili flakes, cause I cannot handle too spicy.

just made it and its so easy and yummy thank you π
i wonder how your recipe would translate if a different type of fish were to be used? i know that cod is a very versatile fish.
This is a good recipe! Thank you!
Hi i wanted to try this dish, but when i got to the store i had sticker shock 18.99 lbs for cod! can i practice with frozen or maybe tilapia?
If you take the ends of the onions and plant them you will regrow 2 onions for each one very quickly. Never need to buy again.
Wow, I tried your recipe and it turned out great! I did add 1.5Table spoon of sugar, and did not add the pepper flakes because I did not have in my kitchen. Thank you for the easiest but delicious recipe of steamed fish with ginger scallion, without needing steamer!
Looks yummy, will surely try it. I wish you could show it closely how it came out.
YO MOON! Thanks. The recipe rocks! -Your neighborly Hapa friend
Can you substitute with Halibut?
I am sorry… but she looks like an Asian female version of Jordon Peele
I was mesmerized by her cativating style! So easy i have to try this
What other fishes can be used in this recipe?

What is the green Leafy in the finished dish
too much ginger and too many hot pepper flakes for me
I wonder if the dish comes out well with frozen cod fish filets?

Not sure what's going on I think at the end when she bowed I saw a piece of hair fell in the food… Dang could of been a good video

Is this a Korean dish ? I wonder because of your greeting at the end.
Where did she put the water?
When you posted this recipe 9 years ago this week, I made it for the first time. It is still my husbands favorite fish recipe. We have it for dinner often. Thank you

My wife has been begging me to cook her some cod for her diet, this looks like it will be delicious. Soy sauce and ginger makes a great marinade for fish I already know it will be good.
Making this tonight
