I'm watching this Italia Squisita video on Tiramisu (relevant timestamp) and the pastry chef mentions 10g of an ingredient called "pasta al caffè." It looks like it produces a brown liquid when mixed with the other liquids in the recipe.

But when googling, I see literally pasta dusted in coffee (like this and this), which don't seem to be related at all.

What ingredient is he referring to?

Coffee paste is like a “spread” texture used also mainly for making ice cream. (and cakes etc)
    Nothing to do with pasta

Imagine cheese spread like philadelphia with no cheese but coffee taste

Pasta is the Italian word for paste or dough as well as for actual pasta. Id say look for coffee paste

  3. by looking at the video i think it’s a mistake, when talking he clearly refer only to caffe’ and make no mention of any “pasta al caffe'” and in fact in the video he only use normal liquid coffee
