Made gimbap for the first time last night!! Eating it today for lunch! Open to suggestions on how to make it even better!

Also I used Maangchis recipe from YouTube! She’s my go to for learning how to make Korean food!

Pretty good for first time!
1. You want to get even rice coverage slightly further down the sheet so you don’t get the side of the roll where there is no rice and the insides are touching the seaweed, that causes the roll to break.
2. Squeeze the crap out of the roll when you’re rolling it up so it compresses the rice and the ingredients, that way you won’t get loose rolls that fall apart.
3. Try to work on applying a thin even layer of rice, a little thinner than what you have here. That way you get a better filling to rice ratio.
4. Season the rice a bit more than you think you need. The rice should be yummy all on its own. Bonus points, add msg to the rice.
