I have some potatoes from Hello Fresh that I had in the refrigerator for a couple of days and haven't gotten around to making. I was gonna make some mash potatoes but they're all squishy, wet, soft, and wrinkly now. They started leaking through the bag. Is it still safe to eat?

    I don’t think they’d taste good unfortunately.

Trash and then stop ordering hello fresh

You definitely don’t want to eat them if they’re leaking.

*Slightly* soft (bendy, not squishy) is probably ok, but once they’re squishy/leaking, you have a problem.

I would reccomend not putting future potatoes in the fridge

No. Not edible. I bet the bag got moisture in it somehow. Potatoes should last a long time. These are bad.

  7. If packaging arrives wet, contact HF, inform them of the issue and get a refund.

As a produce manager, throw them away. No potato making liquid is edible.
