I used extra firm tofu, pressed out as much water as I could, and seasoned with Meat Church Hot Honey Hog.
225 for three hours, basted 1/4 with Sweet Baby Rays, 1/4 with teriyaki, left 1/4 "plain", and tossed the remaining 1/4 in buffalo sauce.
They all sucked. I've been looking for a low and slow vegan option I can toss in while cooking meat, but this ain't it.
My pork butts turned pretty good though. They're currently resting in the cooler.

I’ll add- they’d work well as a spite-dish for a vegan you don’t like. They’re not *disgusting*, just not good. But they look pretty decent and weren’t that much effort.
It would be a fun dish if you ever found yourself forced to cook for an acquaintance/family member you don’t much care for.

The way I do tofu is leave the block whole and smoke for about 30 minutes. After that I’ll cube it and fry it in a wok.
