If you are looking for a delicious onion dip for your next get together, this dip will be your go to. It’s easy, simple, and delicious. I guarantee it will be a hit, whether you are hosting a birthday party, football party, or a holiday. I didn’t add mayonnaise to mine but if you want to, add 1/2 cup of your favorite mayo.

1 large onion, sweet, cut into half moons
2 Tbsp oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Add oil to pan. When hot, add onions, salt, and peppers. Cook until tender and golden, about 18-20 minutes. Remove to cutting board and chop into smaller pieces and let cool.

In separate bowl mix together:
1 Tbsp minced parsley
1/4 tsp granulated garlic
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Add onions and stir well.

1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise, optional

Stir sour cream into onion mixture. Serve with chips, crackers, or veggies.

Enjoy!

  1. I lived in Worcester UK for many years where the sauce is made and everyone there just called it 'Wuster Sauce'. Better than saying it's long tongue twister name.

  2. Looks delish!
My hubs pronounces it “worsh-de-shower” sauce, another I’ve heard is “worsh-your-sister” sauce!! lol
I’m gonna try this. Just dug a lot of onions out of our garden.
