First Time Harvest

This is the first time I’ve grown peppers on my own. I’m in zone 7b, but last frost wasn’t until April 22nd. Bought the jalapeño, Armageddon, and Tabasco seedlings from Home Depot and Lowe’s on April 23rd. Bought Carolina Reaper seedling from a local nursery a few days later and Bhut jolokia a couple weeks after that.

I’ve repotted twice. First time, mistakenly into a 5 trade gallon (3.6 actual gallons) nursery pots from Home Depot around the time I got the seedlings. Second time, into buckets that hold 7.64 gallons on June 20th.

On the second repot, I had fruit on 4 plants (not the Reaper). The fruit survived but flowers and larger older leaves dropped. Reaper, Tabasco, and Armageddon have grown 8-10 inches in height in the last month. Ghost has only grown a couple inches in height but has almost doubled in diameter.
