That is what it looks like . I’ve got one too but never tasted it , just keep it as an ornamental. I saw it at a Costco in Alexandria VA last year and copped a couple of peppers off of it, saved the seeds over the winter and planted them this spring.

Could be a firecracker pequin, Bolivian rainbow, or Chinese 5 color peppers.
Chilipepperguru1976
I would guess in the Serrano or Thai chili range. Not too hot, but spicy for sure!

They look like some sort of ornamental, I saw someone mention Bolivian Rainbow and I agree it looks a lot like that. It’s not going to be anything crazy hot but most ornamental peppers just taste really grassy there’s not a good flavor to them. I’ve grown Chinese 5 color a few times because I like the way they look but they don’t have a good flavor, just goes into compost.

Ornamental. Edible, but boring.

Those are beautiful 😍

Not certain, but they look amazing. Sometimes if I want to test the spice level of a particular unidentified pepper I will cut it in half and use a toothpick to touch the seeds and ribs and taste. If all is clear, proceed to more aggressive tasting techniques.

All them five colors are like, almost exactly the same annum genetics and annums aren’t superhot. Quit being a wimp and eat a red one.

Bolivian rainbow, I grew then last year and they were spicier than jalapenos but not as much as a habanero. I actually found them pretty tasty…. a nice zing flavor to them.

Pluck one, and take a bite. Easy to tell the spice level.
Another hack is squeeze some lemon juice, some raw onion and crush this pepper use it as a sauce if you’re not that adventurous

I grew “filius blue” peppers that looked like these.

They look a little like mine but mine didn’t turn red and they are hot like a hab

They look like ornamentals, to be honest. But even with superhots, if you cut a tiny, tiny piece to taste and have bread/milk ready, you will live to tell the tale

I’m willing to bet you can gauge the spice level yourself if you eat one.
looks like Bolivian Rainbow to me
Just look at the leaves and you can tell annum vs chinense and therefore have some sort of idea how hot it’s going to be
