    What’s the rationale for getting a Classic 1 for the second grill, instead of another C2?

    Do a hot burn for something like pizzas, and it will burn a lot of that soot out of the older one. Whenever I use my DoJoe it cooks a lot of it off.

    I had a moldy mess. Took out the temp probe and added a bunch of charcoal. Once the red turns purple, you’re probably at about 1000 degrees inside. I needed a new gasket anyway, so I didn’t mind that getting even more charred.

    Now my black ceramic is white as the day I got it.

    One more thing, make sure to use stainless steel zip ties to secure the metal firebox ring to the ceramics. Otherwise, it’s sure to warp and get ruined for good. I had mine replaced via warranty, but adding the zip ties has prevented it ever since.
