I love the price, tenderness and flavor of a pork tenderloin, but don’t feel it cooks well in the grill..

So I have been butterflying it and pounding thin, marinading in oil/ honey, bbq seasoning, lemon juice/ mustard

And grilling hot!

lol I’m not sure if this is a faux paus… I guess it’s similar to a deep fried tenderloin?

I like PTL medium rare, sliced thin and dipped in whatever sauce I’m feeling. I guess like this it kinda looks like flank steak so I could do some tacos for sure

I do this too, but with a dry rub instead of a marinade. Fast, easy and always good.

Yeah this is awesome. Fast and hot is ideal for such a lean cut, after all. Would be so good on a sandwich.

That actually looks pretty damn good

What is this blasphemy? Why would you ruin the perfect thing that is a tenderloin? You can even eat it rare, so it’s not like you need to cook it to well done.

Interesting, indeed! Pork tenderloins can sometimes be difficult to grill, but if you sear, then move to indirect heat only until it hits 140°F in the thickest part, let rest, then slice, they can be wonderful paired with a delicious sauce.

But seriously, I like your idea and am gonna have to try it.

    Cheers!
