My mother was on holiday and brought this home from jeju. The flavor is nice but it's weirdly dry and chewy.

Looks like peanut flavored sticky chewy snack. I never tried but I hear they are good when you slightly roast them over fire. It’s supposed to be long and flat? I don’t know. Can you show inside? Really curious. It used to be more of childhood snacks from older generations. So probably your mom’s generation or older?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jjondeugi It’s just fried starch. It’s kind of a retro snack, plus the peanuts I guess are from Udo (a small island near Jeju-do famous for beaches and fresh food). Exactly the sort of thing they sell as a souvenir. The small thing in quotes is… something in Jeju dialect, a machine translator isn’t going to make sense of it.

    JEJU

    Udo Peanut Chewy

“It was a mess in Jeju.”

    Bump/boost—no Jeju-dialect speakers in all of r/KoreanFood?
