Start my Saturday morning, get a coffee, wake-n-bake and then walk the garden admiring what’s getting harvested today, thinking about what i could make with the varieties ripening right now. I get to my Carolina Reaper plant and realize my first fruit is ready.
I’m sure you have the same tradition when your plant’s first fruit gets to its mature color…you pop it off, squeeze it, smell it, look at it at various angles and then eat it. I have to do the same thing for this plant too!!
Can’t lie…I’m fuggin’ terrified right now🤘🏼🤘🏼
The haul today is gonna be big one. Also have a couple jars of ferments ready to get saucy with.

If you can pop that thing into your mouth and survive, you are one heck of a guy. If you don’t survive, well, may your Soul rest in perfect peace.
Just know that the oil from a reaper or other similar super hots will stick to your skin for days, even if you wash. I’ve learned the hard way… Rubbing eyes or sweaty forehead, crotch, etc… You get used to the burn eventually though.
Please remember not to touch your genitals after handling hot peppers. This pepper will need additional caution.
