What kind of pepper is it supposed to be?

  2. tabrizzi

That pod must have been an octopus in another incarnation. Now it’s an octopod.

  3. LOUDPACK_MASTERCHEF

That’s fantastic, do the other peppers on the plant look like that?

  4. beccaboom

You should save some seeds and see what happens next season!

  5. Nice mutation ,- would be fun to get that mutation breed into an own strain ..if possible ..

It would be so cool to have it stabilised! Post what you are going to get out of this pod next year and if it keeps the profile I’m up for buying some seeds

Save those seeds, it’d be a cool strain of pepper.

That’s fun, will be hard to replicate especially if that’s the only one like that on the plant. Worth a try though if you have space for lots of plants.

Cursed!!! Tell us how it tastes later, and I hope you don’t wind up with little C’thulu spawnlings growing in you from it. Good luck.

It’s a common mutation where the calyx/flower somehow gets triggered to develop as fruit. Usually just see some small “petals” branching from the calyx of the normal pepper, but I’ve never heard of anyone being able to stabilize it.

I think Scorpion Hulk chilies get funky like this

Have you been tossing ancient relics into the ocean again?

You’ve been blessed by its noodly appendages.
