I’m really curious if you’ve cooked on the soapstone before to give a comparison beyond the fragility of one vs the other? How was the sear, heat retention, warmup, etc? Sounds like a great idea!
My soapstone lasted five years and broke last month. I was going to buy another because I love it, but what is a steak stone, does it come in a half-moon, and does it need to be washed?
