At the farmers market, on Saturday, I picked up this meat rub that I thought tasted really good and would work great with teriyaki.
I coated 3 lb of pork shoulder in the meat rub. Then sliced a yellow onion and crushed 10 cloves of garlic. I poured about a 1/3 cup of bachan japanese bbq sauce, a couple tbsp of sriracha, and a tbsp of roast garlic oil over the meat. I cooked on low for 7 hours. Then I removed the meat and let it rest for 30 min before shredding and mixing back into the sauce for 30 min.
While it was all coming together, I sauteed some broccolini and red bell pepper in my garlic infused oil.
