I ordered groceries for pickup a few days ago and received a bag of these instead of the serrano peppers I ordered. Any ideas what it could be? The grocery store doesn't have any that look like this on display now, so I'm stumped.

I can’t guess what it is since you haven’t said if they are hot or not. There are a few sweet and hot peppers that look like that.
But what I can tell you is, judging from the light green color with no shine to the skin and assuming it’s fully mature color is red, it will likely taste like absolute crap at that light green stage. All bitter and no green pepper flavor (or very little). Dark green is where you get the classic green pepper flavor for red peppers.
