As long as they taste good it’s all good. Wondering if you didn’t bang the trays or let dry enough.

I think your recipe is off. This looks like it has double the egg whites you need so it’s giving meringue instead of macaron

these have no skins. The pockmarked surface is porous, letting all the steam through. When you’re making macaron, the skin traps the steam when they’re baking and causes the shell to rise, creating feet. The steam just pffted out like a regular cookie. The surface of the shells should feel tacky and shouldn’t leave residue on your finger when just-barely-oh-so-lightly tapped before they go into the oven.

Assuming you followed the recipe correctly, I’d guess they weren’t dry enough and the air bubbles were able to escape through the surface instead of being trapped inside the cookie and raising it (thus creating the feet and shiny top)
