I always sigh with satisfaction and relief when putting on the last pot of sauce. This year I froze the sauce in small blocks, about 1/2 cup each. After freezing in their molds (muffin tin) , I tapped them out into vacuum seal bags and froze them for use through the winter. I see you have seasoned yours. Sometimes I do that too, but this year I froze them unseasoned and will add seasonings at the time of final use.

Would you care to share the recipe if it’s not a family secret? I’m going to be doing this for the first time this year but I don’t know any decent recipes for sauce.

Looks great! Man, your last batch! My first sauce tomato just started blushing today! My sauce weekends are usually in late September/early October, but things are so late in the PNW this year.

Last one? Damn, what zone are you in?
I haven’t got enough ripe ones to go through the trouble of making my first yet. I’ll only budge at minimum 15lbs. I don’t even have half that with 7 plants.

You don’t take your seeds out first? I always strain most of mine out before cooking. I hate getting the seeds sick in my teeth.
