Got some moisture in my hopper. Any suggestions? Tried taking it off but struggling to get entire hopper removed.

Does your hopper have a door on the back to release all the pellets? I would definitely start there, and then start vacuuming everything you can. You’ll need to clear the auger and re prime it as well.
Far-prophet
take the grate off and start scooping it out. make sure its unplugged, don’t want to have your fingers in the augur.
Fabulous-Operation51
Time to bust out the shop vac it seems. If they’ve bound up together you may need a tool to break up the pellet blob for ease of vacuuming.
MidCitySlim
Remove that grate and never replace it. Should be held on by a screw or two. Just don’t ever stick your hand down into the auger (extremely hard to do, the auger moves very slowly).
Is that a WWPro? Looks like mine – and there is a trap door on the back of the hopper where you can remove the excess pellets. Break up the clumps with a stick. Vacuum out what you can’t reach.
Aggressive_Ad6164
Use the trap door on the back. Threaded screw, door flips up. Then remove the safety grate.

Which stupid company installs a grate with no pellet chute?
SMMS0514
Remove the grate. I believe it’s held in by four small screws. I removed mine a while ago and have never replaced it. Use a shop vac to remove all the mushy pellets. Your best bet is to trash them all and buy new
nikkychalz
That grate lasted about a day and a half when I bought my grill, that was 2 years ago. Get that thing out of there and don’t put it back.
OGFuzzyDunlop
Do not pee on it to loosen it up!
Markca8688
After you get the pellets out of the hopper run your auger to get all the pellets out through the fire box. There should be some program option to just run the auger. Get all the pellets out then start all over.
ranjen617
Shop vac and release the backdoor time. Hopefully the pellets in the auger are OK.
ComplexToxin
Remove the grate, keep it off. Shop vac.
strtbobber
Take that stupid grate off, for starters.
bcgeogirl
There should be a release under the hopper. At least mine does. Can be a pain but I take a long metal skewer and hold up en the release while poking the release hole with the skewer till it is empty. Don’t forget to put a bucket under to catch the pellets 🙂
Y’all i got this for Father’s Day mini shop vac. It’s PERFECT for cleaning pellets/ash! It lives under the grill now. Like $25-30, well worth it too.
stobak
If it’s too clumpy and there’s parts you can’t get to, a shop vac will do wonders! But yeah, that grate needs to come off ideally.
santanzchild
Don’t forget to pull the auger so you don’t destroy the gear.
thefirstWizardSleeve
Shop vac
PartagasSD4
The worst part of pellet grills sadly. Remove the grate and vacuum it, after emptying the chute. Might have to run the auger on the highest settings for half hour to clear it.
nojab4mecommie
Just remove the 2 bolts on the end and shop vac it all put.

Yeah you’ll have to start over with that now
