Dead worm. Wasp Larvae. Leave it be and you’ll soon have some soldiers to help protect and pollinate your plants 🪴

Don’t remove it, let the beneficial wasp eggs to hatch. Their mom will be flying around but it’s not aggressive, just worried about her eggs.

Your photos are incredible. Textbook level clarity and precision. Perhaps you can sell them online fyi.

Aren’t they nasty? If you ever see a hornworm without the wasp eggs kill it.

I love that I know what it is. Parasitic wasp got a hornworm

This is a tomato horn worm and it can decimate your plants in just a day. The white things are parasitic wasp larvae, they will eat the body of the worm and hatch and take care of any others in your garden. Good natural pesticide!

Yes to what everyone else said. I just made [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/gardening/s/ZAHB4p4JTW) of them on my plant too. I had two hornworms with the eggs and none without. Check your plant before reaching in to harvest incase there are more cause u don’t wanna disturb the eggs

I found the biggest horn worm yesterday- I shrieked. Bigger than a tube of chapstick for reference. Hs eaten about 3 of my tomatoes. I have had about 6 horn worms on my single container tomato plant 😢

I found 3 huge ones on one of my plants. I tried giving one to my chickens. They ran form it 🤣😳

If you leave it on the plant it will destroy it. I don’t think I’d listen to that advice. While the wasp are beneficial the caterpillar eating rhe tomatoe plant will be detrimental. They will strip a plant in 24 hrs

Hornworms. And you are seeing nature in action. It’s a parasitic wasp eating the worm inside out. Just leave it alone. Let nature do the work.
