Robyn on the Farm’s Bread Machine Dough Cycle Cinnamon Rolls with Glaze Recipe:
1 c warm milk
1 stick (1/2 c) melted butter
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c white sugar
4 c All Purpose (or Bread) Flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp yeast (if you use the packages of yeast, 1 package will be enough)
Put ingredients into bread machine in order listed. Set your bread machine to dough cycle. Check dough a few minutes into cycle and add about 1/8 cup more flour until not sticking to sides and bottom of bread pan while it’s kneading. If it’s too dry, add about 1 Tbsp of water until dough is smooth. The dough cycle takes about 1.5 hours.
Prepare filling:
1 stick softened butter
1 c brown sugar
1.5 Tbsp ground cinnamon
1 Tbsp corn starch (optional)
Stir until combined. Should be paste like consistency.
Once the dough cycle is complete, punch down your dough and roll it out in an 18×12 inch rectangle. Spread filling all over. Roll from the long side up into a log shape. Measure your log of dough and cut into 12 cinnamon rolls of about equal width. Place onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes, or until golden but cooked through.
Prepare Glaze:
3 Tbsp melted butter
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 c confectioners/powdered sugar
4 Tbsp milk
IF YOU LIKE A LOT OF ICING/GLAZE, be sure to make double batch!!!
Once cinnamon rolls have cooled to warm, pour glaze all over rolls. The glaze will melt into them and make your rolls even softer and sweeter. Enjoy your homemade cinnamon rolls!
