Buffalo Cauliflower Recipe:
Ingredients:
Cauliflower:
• 1 Head – Cauliflower, broken into floret chunks
• 2 TBSP – Flax Seed Meal
• 5 TBSP – Water
• 1 ½ cup – All Purpose Flour
• 2 tsp – Red Cayenne Pepper
• 1 tsp – Sea Salt
• 1 tsp – Cracked Black Pepper
• 1 tsp – Garlic Powder
• ½ tsp – Smoked Paprika
• ½ cup – Panko Bread Crumbs
• Pam Grilling Cooking Spray
Sauce:
• ¼ cup – Unsalted Butter, melted
• 1 tsp – Red Cayenne Pepper
• ¼ cup – Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
• 1 TBSP – Sriracha
• 1 TBSP – Honey
• ½ tsp – Cracked Black Pepper
Toppings:
• Blue Cheese Dressing
• Blue Cheese, crumbled
• Green Onion, sliced
Procedure:
1. Break cauliflower into floret chunks
2. Get three bowls:
a. In the first bowl: mix flour, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika
b. In the second bowl: mix flax seed and water and set for 5 minutes to thicken
c. In the third bowl: place the panko bread crumbs
3. Spray the bottom of the air fryer with cooking spray
4. Dredge cauliflower florets in the following order: spiced flour mixture, then flax egg, then bread crumbs, then place into air fryer basket
5. Repeat step 4 until one layer is formed on the bottom of the basket
6. Lightly add more cooking spray on top of cauliflower
7. Set the air-fryer to 375°F (191°C) and air-fry cauliflower for 15 minutes, don’t forget to shake halfway through. (Note: allow pre-heat setting to operate while cauliflower is in the frier.)
8. For the sauce, mix all sauce ingredients together in another bowl
9. Once the sauce is made, take cauliflower out of the air-fryer and let it cool for 5-7 minutes, then place it back into the air-fryer for 5 minutes at 375°F (191°C) and shake halfway through. When finished, your cauliflower should look golden brown on top with dark brown edges.
10. While cauliflower is still piping hot, toss in sauce
11. To present, top with dressing, then with sliced green onions and crumbled blue cheese
