What could be more romantic than indulging in rich chocolate and delicious wine? Grab your perfect partner, and join us for this sweet themed class. There’s more to perfect pairings than just wine & chocolate, and we’ll cover the basics of wine and food pairings, while exploring the senses of taste through Venchi chocolates paired with a perfect variety of wines.
Taste along at home! Be sure to use high quality chocolate, in a variety of your favorite flavors; white, milk, dark, or your favorite flavor, peanut butter, nuts, fruit, etc.
For wine we suggest an oaked white, like Chardonnay from Napa Valley or Russian River Valley in California, a fruity red, like Zinfandel from California, Primativo from Italy, Shiraz from Australia, and a sweet wine like Moscato d’Asti, Port, Madeira, Banyuls, or Vin Santo.
Taste each chocolate with each wine to explore your palate and find out for yourself why some pairings work, and some pairings don’t. Also make sure you have lots of water, and even some savory snacks like popcorn, cheese, charcuterie, or crackers to help fight off sugar fatigue.
