I've used MealPlan+ on iOS for years. But my only apple product is my iPad and this app feels like it isn't being supported (still after all these years doesn't have an Android version or browser access).

What so you all use? Every 'new' app I've tried doesn't (easily) allow me to add my own recipes, and wants me to enter a 'food goal'.
I don't want this app to count calories for me, I want it to help me shop/plan.

This is what I've been using:

I created a Google drive of all my recipes, And I have a comprehensive list of all of them as well. So I just scroll through the list and decide what I want to make, on which night, as it fits our schedule best.

  2. Paprika can scrape just the recipe from a recipe site and save an offline copy.

  3. I use Mealime. The free version is pretty robust. There are a lot of recipes, you can add your own (a feature I haven’t used), it builds a shopping list, you can add things to that list, and it has a step by step process when cooking that is pretty nice. I like being able to save recipes to collections, so when I see a recipe I want to try in the future I can bookmark it as such. The search filters are great. I like to search by ingredient so I can use what I’ve just received in my weekly farm box. I think that is a premium only feature, but you can still search for ingredients with the free version, it would just be only if it was in the name. The premium version is only $2.99/month and I mostly subscribe because this app has made my life so much easier and I’ve been eating a variety of recipes that aren’t difficult or time consuming and I want them to be around for a long time.

After I create my weekly menu, I go through each recipe and prep certain parts of it. Primarily chopping veggies. But I might roast a protein or create a sauce, although it’s really the veggie chopping prep that saves me during the week when I’m exhausted.

I like Samsung Food, its ingredient search is much better than MyFitnessPal so it makes recipe building easier and it also has a grocery checklist

I use Copy Me That for keeping recipes. There is a meal planning function but I have never used it. It will also create shopping lists for you. There is a free version and a paid one. It works perfectly on my phone and laptop.

Try Recipe Keeper by Tudorspan! it’s really good for saving recipes and meal planning 🙂

We have 3 people prepping food for 2 weeks. Each one of us makes 3 meals. We pick a recipe and look it up on google

I use Family Wall. I can upload recipes, plan meals and generate a shopping list. (It also helps me keep track of all the kids activities – and I can see the activities when planning meals, so I know, for example, not to plan anything complicated on the day both kids have training, husband works late and I have choir practice)

  9. I use Saffron for all my recipes. It lets me import my recipes manually or through a link and has an awesome shopping list feature which links to the recipe. Also, meal planning calendar, but I don’t use that one much.

Also, the developer is super responsive. I told them about a bug one time and they fixed it the same day. By the way that is pretty much the only bug I have ever seen in the years using this app, seriously high quality work.
