I have had a smoker for about 1 years. I’ve had no issues with it until a week ago. I always clean and empty the auger and make sure it turns correctly in start up mode.

Recently, it keeps jamming on pellets and making a weird clicking noise. It happens with both a full load and close to no pellets. It seems like the auger stops turning at the first sign of the smallest resistance.

Have any of you had any similar issues ? I’ve disassembled the grill and cleaned it thoroughly already. I read somewhere that I could add grease or sharpen the auger. Or should I change the motor ?I’ve added a video of the noise, mind you this happens also with close to no pellets. The video makes it seem like the fan spins slowly but it’s turning fast.

Thank you so much for your help, am getting a bit desperate here.

    We Need Your Help!

We’ve noticed that recent changes in Reddit’s algorithms have made it harder for original content (OC) communities like ours to get the visibility we used to enjoy. This shift means that posts and comments aren’t getting the attention they deserve.

Your engagement is crucial, not just for r/PelletGrills, but for all the wonderful niche communities like food, crafts, art, and culture that thrive on original content. Even a simple comment like “This would fit X sub” can make a big difference.
