Any ideas what might be up??? When my souschef plugged it in before I got to the kitchen this morning it just displayed a 0 on the screen along with an orange light. I'll post a photo she sent me in the comments

And for the smart assess the screen in this photo still has the plastic shield that came on it nearly 4 years ago. I peeled it off when I got into work because as you can see in the video the touch screen is acting up.

Anova remotely disabled your device. Expect an email with a coupon for a new one. Except the new one comes as SAAS (sousvide as a service). So, after you buy the new one you’ll need to submit to a credit check, pay the monthly service fee, and enter into a five year service contract.

Wait for it to fail soon. My screen was acting up also. Now it does not respond anymore and I have an unusable device.

I had my lesser model cut out with a brisket in it last night 😬

Do you leave it in water 100% of the time? I theorize that it’s humidity intrusion inside the casing, which might be affecting the materials that laminate the digitizer to the front panel you touch. Put it in a food dehydrator or bag of rice for a bit and see if it resolves the problem

  7. Mine will do this if I try the change the temp too quickly after plugging it in. Plug it in, wait for it to go from 32 to whatever you used last, then it will work.

    Good luck!

  8. Fuck anova for removing support for my device never anova again!

Probably need to just start paying them $2/mo to get the buttons to work.
