Seems like a great afternoon! Personally, sun golds have a special place in my heart because those are my favorite to snack on while I’m out gardening haha. Not many make it into my kitchen

Ove heard enough about these sungolds….next year!!

I ordered sungold seeds, planted them with my Chocolate Sprinkles and Black Cherry. What I got is some medium size red tomatoes. I don’t like the flavor profile at all. Unfortunately I have 4 plants, so they all will be sliced and dried. They are tasty that way!

I’m not entirely sure what I planted in the way of tomatoes, but I know I have at least 5 varieties. I’m looking forward to trying the comparative taste test! Thanks for the inspiration OP.

You should frame that first picture and hang it up!

Should have grown the old timer “jet star.” I eat them as I pick them, perfect combination of sweet and acidic. Could you do a test on how the plants lived? We’ve grown about 6 different varieties the last few years. Jetstar has been the only one to make it to frost, but this year the heat took them all out. We grow on a large scale of 700-2000

If you get a chance, grow and taste a Ceylon or a Green Grape. Out of the many tomatoes I’ve grown, these two are my all time favorites as far as taste.
