Anyone know what this is? Coworker grew it and doesn’t know what it was supposed to be.

Smells fruitier than a bell pepper like it’s hiding some spice. Just curious before I take a bite of it.

Looks like a cubanelle to me. I like to stuff them and toss them on the smoker!

  3. Left-Doughnut-2848

Can confirm cubanelle, that one is bigger than what I have growing though!

  4. Sir_Lee_Rawkah

Looks like something my buddy place around with… He calls and peppers too

  5. Elephant_Jones

People keep saying Cubanelle, but this looks more like a Giant Marconi to me

  6. yentlequible

Thanks everyone! Cubanelle looks spot on. Excited to eat it!

The pepper she told you not to worry about

  8. Closet-PowPow

That pepper is definitely giving you the middle finger.

Looks like an XL version of the “Italian Roaster” peppers I planted this year by mistake thinking that they were Italian Long Hots.

If it’s a roaster, the flavor will be like a bell pepper, maybe with a whiff of spice, but definitely more on the sweet side.

We’ve been making stuffed pepper xiumai with them.

This pepper leaves me feeling emasculated

Might be an Anaheim , they have just a hint of spice.

  12. I have some like that but is called Big Bertha and it’s a bell pepper

  13. Spicy_Tomatillo

Anaheim possibly, but most likely a cubanelle

  14. Elon_Bezos420

Looks like a Marconi pepper, they get that huge, I have one too, I’ve got multiple ones that big starting to turn red, pretty excited to use them to make stuffed peppers, yours is pretty big though

Looks like my cubanelle peppers im growing

  16. Surf-fisher20

    Cubanelles are great on cheesesteaks!

  17. toolsavvy

Likely a very large cubanelle. Supposedly a hot pepper but very very mild at 500-1000 shu. But I have never grown or ate a cubanelle that has any heat at all. In fact many seed sellers sell it as a sweet pepper, not a hot pepper.

When you bite into it … Did it make you feel tingly or numb to the bone?

  19. sprawlaholic

Looks like a massive Anaheim, what on earth was that pepper fed??

  20. selfhouse1981

What area are you in? It’s too big for an Anaheim, not dark enough for a poblano, not wide enough for a Marconi, Looks like a hatch pepper to me. They’re real popular this time of the year in New Mexico and Southwest Texas.

    Photoshop. Probably AI. Look closely.
EDIT: Downvote me all you want, just look at the damn fingers and tell me thats a real photo.
    Jesus people, use your brains.

I grill them in diced garlic and onions, once tender, I stuff them with veggies and cheese, then bake them so tasty.

  23. Beepboopbop91

I would guess giant Marconi. Shouldn’t be too spicy at all If it is. I like them in my homemade spaghetti sauces.

  24. theemightycrouton

Big Jim, that’s what mine look like.

  25. Damnitdumbdumb

Big ass Cuban! Yeah man stuff that sucker with rice and such

  26. MurderousEntityxbox

Giant Marconi maybe? We grow those.

  27. RachCara

Poblano Chili. They are very mild but have loads of flavor.

  28. Stixxx24

Looks like a great specimen to grill 😊

  29. Pretend_Order1217

Cubanelles are thin wall, and lighter in color. I grow Giant Marconis that look exactly like this in size and color, so I think that is what you have.

  30. triip256

giant marconi. looks just like mine, nothing like the cubanelles im growing.

  31. Pristine_Mine849

Isn’t it a giant pablano I’m growing some now

  32. Heavy_Schedule4046
