    That’s a pretty solid medium. If you were looking for rare then it’s a bit over.

    No one on this crazy sub is going to call anything short of a live cow, rare. People on this sub are ridiculous.

    Anyways I’d call it med rare.

    It can be a little hard to tell from just one photo, but I’d call that medium rare. Looks great, but doesn’t have the dark red of a real rare.

    As others have said, that there is medium approaching mid-well. Still got the pink juice but barely.

    Almost textbook medium if not a hair over.

    You need to see red for any shade of rare. That cross section is all pink.

    Not rare in my opinion. Though I can really only tell if I poke them, because I’m old af. (72) But I’m from steak country, Kansas City, if that helps.
